Boudicca - 'Cake-Off' Sample Sale - 05.04.08
We would like to thank all who attended this years Boudicca 'Cake-Off' 2008 competition. A special Thank you to all the Judges for their time and expertise, and congratulations to all the winners.
We would like to announce that due to the success of the first Boudicca Cake-Off, this will now become an annual event. If you would like to enter next years Cake-Off 2009 please email us to be put onto the Cake-Off correspondence list. Do not be put off by not being able to attend the event, we had entries this year from Berlin (A Virtual Cake in the form of a movie) and from Switzerland a Photograph of the Cake.

BOUDICCA - Co-Conspirators for the Fashion and Film Festival - If Looks could Kill. Sat 10th May 2008 7pm Tate Modern, Starr Auditorium.
We have made a short film for the Fashion and Film Festival called 'The Library Kills' which screens 7pm Tate Modern London. The Co-Conspirators films will also be shown at the Gallery at Sketch on 31 May 2008, 10am – 5pm 9 Conduit Street, London. If you are in London and would like to see the film please see the links below for details. Otherwise keep an eye on the Platform13 News page for the film upload coming soon. The festival has an excellent programme of classic Films exploring the compelling links between cinema, fashion, crime and violence. Tackling themes such as disguise, the expression of desire, juvenile delinquency and the corruption of beauty, the festival features a string of underworld characters and their prosecutors whose highly effective costume, styling and sartorial gestures helped define cinematic genres from detective to thriller, gangster, film noir and horror. see the Fashion in Film Link Below.

The Boudicca Wode Website went live on Friday 19th Sept 2008. Both 'Wode Paint' & 'Wode Scent' will be available for sale at Colette in Paris during Paris Fashion week (27th Sept - 5th Oct)
Wode will be available for UK sales from the 2nd Oct 08. And will be delivered to our stockists on the 8th Nov 08. Please see the stockists page at Boudiccawode.com for further details. You can register on the Wode site to receive updated news on availability and events.
We are also in the process of creating a collection of garments all with 'hidden meanings' which are revealed by spraying with Wode Paint, These garments (Boudicca White label) will be available through the Wode site.

Zowie, one of the Boudicca designers has written a piece entitled 'C V' for VERYmagazine you can view the article 'HERE'
VERY originates in Uscha Pohl’s NY art and fashion space UP & CO, which opened its doors in 1996.
VERY UP & CO was one of the first enterprises initiating the 'crossover' movement of the
fashion / art / design hybrid in the late ‘90s. VERY UP & CO features different disciplines, art, fashion,
design,... side by side, parallel to one another. While individual work can address more than one field,
key is its integrity in each discipline, however many it might relate to.
As a publishing house VERY sports its own contemporary culture magazine, city guides, fashion guides
as well as stylemaps - first of all in print, but more and more also online.
VERY magazine, the 'mother' of VERY publications represents this multifaceted view of art and creation
and being more 'curated' than edited, VERY features artist collaborations, combining the past with the
present to find answers for the future.
The VERYcity styleguides represent the cities through the eyes of their creatives who share their personal
favourites with us. Doubling up as eco guides on the flip side they are the first international eco-lifestyle
guides.
The VERYstylemap series saw its launch with VERYeco London(2006) with an upcoming third edition,
